in Anduze
Anduze is a charming town in the heart of southern France in the Cévennes. Located not far from the Les Cascades campsite, it covers just over 14.5 km² and is one of the must-see spots in the Gard region. It boasts an exceptional heritage with splendid monuments to see.
Between its various tourist sites to discover and the splendour of its landscapes, make the most of your stay at the campsite with a swimming pool to enjoy many activities in Anduze: exploring troglodytic caves, taking a steam train ride, swimming in the Gardon river in Saint-Jean-du-Gard, and more.
Outing to the bamboo grove
in the Cévennes
Perfect for a moment of relaxation and coolness in the middle of summer, head to the Bamboo Grove in Anduze. The history of this exceptional botanical park, ideal for a family outing, began in the 19th century. It brings together many exceptional plants: more than a thousand species of bamboo are among those to be discovered.
You can explore it at your leisure with an audio guide or take a guided tour. The bamboo grove in the Cévennes includes a restaurant and a shop where you can buy plants and bamboo products. Open from 15 February to 15 November.


Steam locomotive tour
For a unique souvenir of your holiday near Anduze during your visit to the region, consider taking the little Cévennes Steam Train.
An original way to travel between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard. The train stops at the Bamboo Garden and at Thoiras station. Along the way, you will encounter multiple viaducts, level crossings and tunnels.
Various activities are available: discover the locomotive, take part in an escape game, have lunch in a dining car and follow itineraries that take you to the markets in both towns served. A return ticket costs €17 (€11.50 for children aged 4-12).
Discover the Trabuc caves
Explore the region’s caves, a natural treasure of the Cévennes, near Anduze and Alès. The site overlooks the village of Mialet. The magic of the preserved natural mineral formations will enchant young and old alike.
You can explore the Trabuc caves on a tour open to all or choose a double exploration equipped with an acetylene lamp as your only light source, just like the very first discoverers of the cave.
The summer season is an opportunity to visit the cave lit by 1,600 candles. To take your discovery further, you can also go on an underground safari.
River swimming session
A must-do during your camping holiday in Anduze in the Cévennes, take the opportunity to swim in the river, perfect for a change from the pool and the beach.
Step into the crystal-clear waters to cool off while enjoying the peace and quiet of this unspoilt environment in the heart of nature. To swim or dip your feet in the water, head to the Gardon de Saint-Jean river, which has authentic little coves with a peaceful, intimate atmosphere.
And to swim in the even more beautiful landscapes of the south of France, you can visit the Sautadet or Vis waterfalls.


Family tree climbing
The Parfums d’Aventures park near the town of Anduze in the heart of the Gard region offers outdoor activities for fun and adrenaline-filled experiences. In a beautiful green natural environment by the river, you can admire a splendid panorama from the treetops.
Four different levels of tree climbing are available for children aged 2 and above. Your visit to this park is also ideal for having fun jumping on a trampoline, taking part in an escape game or treasure hunt, or trying out various games and mazes.
